The tropics stay calm

The system that had a very slight chance of developing some tropical characteristics along the Carolina coast is now expected to remain inland, so the odds of development are down to 0%. Two days of good rain is likely in coastal sections of the Southeast. Some local flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Stay informed of any local alerts from the National Weather Service.
